“A truly great book should be read in youth, again in maturity and once more in old age,
as a fine building should be seen by morning light, at noon and by moonlight.”

~Robertson Davies (1913-1995)

One of the many, and in fact, main reasons why I have always loved living in Melbourne so much, is that is has such an abundance of beautiful heritage architecture. It remains one of my favourite subject matters - and never more so than since I started shooting with Lensbaby. I find the Lensbaby system lends itself perfectly to architectural shooting.

I can lose myself for hours on end, wandering the streets of the city and suburbs, with camera in hand. There are so many gems to be found in the inner suburbs. Carlton and Fitzroy are just two of the areas I love to explore.

Of course, it's always fun to venture further afield and into the many wonderful little country and coastal towns. Equally as many fantastic photo opportunities can be found there too. These, though, were all taken in and around Melbourne.
