A couple of weeks ago two of my work colleagues, who are members of a vintage car club, were invited along with the rest of their club to visit the most beautiful, heritage property on the outskirts of Melbourne. This historically and architecturally significant property has been in the ownership of a private family for a number of decades, and very few people have been fortunate enough to have ever seen it. When I saw the photos I just knew I had to at least ask the question, even if the answer was going to be 'no'. So, I'm in the process of doing exactly that.
I would so love to do a 'Vicarage'-style photoshoot at this property. It is currently in a wonderful state of disrepair and needing lots of TLC - much like the Vicarage did. From a photographic perspective, it has amazing potential. New owners are about to breathe life into this grand old building (the images used in this post are of the Vicarage), and I have decided to make an approach, to see if it might be possible.
I have absolutely no expectations as to what the outcome might be. I'm certainly keeping ALL of my fingers crossed. And besides, you'll never know what the answer might be, if you aren't willing to ask the question, right? :)
