Recycled Frames Galleries
![Recycled Frames : This collection of beautiful old recycled wood frames is now ready for sale. I have been collecting them over a period of time, and I am thrilled to have finally filled them all with prints. My talented framer sources his wood from demolition sites - old houses, factories, warehouses etc, and moulds the wood that he collects from the original floorboards, skirting boards and architraves into the most wonderful recycled frames. The wood in some of these frames is over a hundred years old. Some are very solid and sturdy, others are a little more fragile. My photographs in no way do them justice - they really are quite stunning, and need to be seen to be fully appreciated.
The images have been printed by a professional photo lab on Kodak Professional Endura Lustre photo paper, professionally mounted on sturdy 3mm Forex and laminated with Sandtex for further protection, and then finished off by me. (Please note, the laminate has been used in place of glass.) The hanging hardware consists of two 10kg load capacity brass d-rings and screws, with 12kg load capacity wire. The back of each artwork has been signed.
All of the square images are slightly larger than 11"x11", most of the portrait/landscape images are all slightly larger than 15"x11". There is one print approximately 10.5"x7", and another at 16"x8.5".
**Because these frames are recycled, they are all one-offs. I may or may not be able to get similar frames in the future. If preferred, the photographic prints can easily be replaced. I am happy to sell them as high quality, archival giclee fine art prints, with archival mounting and glass (more detailed information can be found on the Information section of my website).
